The Houthi insurgency in Yemen has carried out this afternoon a new bombing against the headquarters of the internationally recognized Government, provisionally based in the city of Aden, as well as against the airport of this city in the south of the country, without there being at the moment any data on possible victims or on the extent of the material damage.

The military spokesperson of the Yemeni Government Army in Aden, Mayid al Nuzaili, has indicated that the Houthis have fired several ballistic missiles against the city, in what he has described as a continuation "of their attacks against the resources of the Yemeni people".

For the moment, the Houthi movement has not offered details about this offensive. Its latest statement, released by its military spokesperson, General Yahya Sari, is limited to announcing new attacks against Saudi Arabia, the main ally of the Government of Yemen.

According to this report, the attacks have again targeted Saudi energy and strategic infrastructures, among them refineries in Ras Tanura, an installation of the state oil company Aramco in Abqalq, another refinery in Rabigh, as well as two airports, Rey Jalid and Rey Fahd, located in Riyadh and Dammam, and a military base in the Najran region.

Saudi Civil Defense has indicated that isolated alerts have been recorded in the affected areas, but at the moment it has not reported the existence of dead, injured, or damage of note.

For its part, the spokesperson of the international coalition against the Houthis, led by Saudi Arabia, General Turki al Maliki, has reported "the interception and destruction of a drone in the Riyadh region" and of another unmanned device downed in the holy city of Medina.

The Houthis, however, have reiterated on numerous occasions that their operations do not target places of a religious or sacred nature.
