At least one person has lost their life and another ten have been injured in a recent Russian airstrike against the city of Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine, according to information provided by local authorities.

"Up to this moment, one person has died and ten more have been injured as a result of an enemy bombing," reported the mayor of the city of Kharkiv, Igor Terejov.

According to Terejov himself, a 35-year-old woman was found alive among the rubble of the collapsed buildings and was able to be rescued by emergency teams, but "unfortunately and despite all the efforts of the medical personnel, she has died due to the severity of her injuries."

The mayor also specified that the attack has caused material damage to 35 homes and eight vehicles in the Nemishlianski district, in an area near a gas station surrounded by residential blocks.

The military governor of the Kharkiv region, Oleg Sinegubov, has indicated that among the injured is a 7-year-old child, as well as women aged 44, 62, and 72 years and men aged 30, 36, 47, and 61 years.
