The authorities of Nepal have raised this Sunday to 724 the number of deceased due to the severe flood triggered on Wednesday after the rise of the Bhotekoshi River in the mountainous district of Rasuwa, located next to the border with the autonomous region of Tibet in China.
For their part, the Chinese authorities have confirmed 16 dead and 546 missing people in Tibet, which places the provisional total balance of fatalities at 750.
The National Authority for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (NDRRMA) of Nepal has detailed that most of the deceased are concentrated in the district of Chitwan, with 252 victims, followed by Nawalparsi East, which adds 184. Next are Gorja, with 58 dead, and Dhading, with 50, in addition to other affected districts.
