The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Wednesday that the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Mojtaba Jamenei, is still alive, although he has serious injuries on his left side as a result of the attacks launched by the United States and Israel during the offensive in February against the country.
"He was seriously injured. The left side of his body --the arm, the leg, all that side-- was seriously injured, but I don't think he has died. And if he has, they are hiding it wonderfully, because they keep saying they are going to talk to him again all the time to get his final approval," Trump pointed out during an interview with conservative radio host Glenn Beck.
The president has once again boasted about the performance of the U.S. Army and Navy, as well as the financial situation that, he has argued, his administration has achieved since he took office. "That will lead us to a great victory. We had it in Venezuela and we are going to have it here very soon," he asserted.
Trump also indicated that 22 ships crossed the Strait of Hormuz without incidents during the early morning and that maritime traffic remains fully operational. "The strait is functioning. Sometimes there will be a drone, a rocket, or they will shoot something, but it is fully active: a lot of oil is flowing. Yesterday it was 10 million barrels," he noted regarding the situation in this strategic enclave.
