The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, Félix Bolaños, expressed this Wednesday his "maximum respect" towards the gatherings called by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) in support of the Ceuta people. At the same time, he has held PP and Vox responsible for "instigating" attendance at these protests from "partisanship" and "without seeking solutions" to the crisis that the autonomous city is experiencing.

In a statement before the media at the Ministry's headquarters, Bolaños reiterated his "maximum respect" for those who, "in good faith," attend to express their solidarity with the citizens of Ceuta, emphasizing that he "understands the state of mind" existing after the irregular entry of thousands of immigrants through the border at the end of July.

However, he accused PP and Vox of wishing that "the situation be serious" and of "not facilitating anything." In his opinion, the current scenario can be faced from responsibility and the search for solutions or "from partisanship," and he pointed out that a good part of those who are calling and "instigating" participation in this afternoon's protests clearly fall into this second option.

Bolaños reproached them that "they are delighted that there are more days that this situation prolongs in Ceuta," also recalling that some autonomous communities governed by PP and Vox rejected the 25 million euros approved by the Government to care for unaccompanied minors residing in the autonomous city.

The Minister of Justice has insisted that the Executive is "absolutely focused on solutions" and has guaranteed that it will continue to allocate investments, reinforcing personnel and resources, and enabling new facilities for immigrants, with the goal that "soon" it can be stated that Ceuta has regained normality.
