The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has urged to join the support concentrations for Ceuta called for this Wednesday in different parts of Spain. He himself plans to attend the protest in Madrid in front of a "Government that lies and abandons the people of Ceuta."
In a message disseminated on the social network X, the leader of the popular party has criticized the central Executive considering that "The Government that lies and abandons the people of Ceuta tries to sabotage the support concentrations in defense of Ceuta planned for today," referring to the decision of the Government Delegation in Madrid not to process the concentration promoted by the City Council of the capital.
Feijóo has reaffirmed his stance on the defense of territorial integrity and support for the citizens of the autonomous cities by stating: "I will defend the borders of my country. I will stand by my compatriots. I firmly defend the Spanish identity of the autonomous cities," confirming that he will attend the meeting to show his support "for the Ceuta cause."
The opposition leader has encouraged participation in the call for this afternoon by emphasizing: "Despite the Government's boycott, at 8 PM, everyone to Cibeles. And everyone with Ceuta." Before that concentration, Feijóo will travel to the autonomous city to attend the institutional event of the Day of Ceuta alongside the regional president, Juan Vivas.
