The coordinator of Movimiento Sumar and leading candidate for Congress for the Frente Amplio, Verónica Barbero, has described the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, as a "pathological liar" in light of his statements about the Angrois train accident, reproaching him that "no ruling gave him the reason."
Barbero spoke in this way to the media this Monday in Vigo, after Feijóo, when challenged by those who reminded him that he spoke of human error after the Angrois disaster, maintained that his "thesis" was "judicially endorsed," as the Alvia driver remained the only person convicted and the former Adif security chief was acquitted.
"Mr. Feijóo lied again. It is in the DNA of the PP. It is not true that no ruling gave him the reason," Barbero insisted, underscoring that the judicial decision indicated first of all that "there were no safety systems" and, from there, analyzed what happened in the disaster.
"One cannot keep lying about the Angrois accident," she stressed, while also recalling that 80 people died in the tragedy and that thousands of families continue to face the pain of those human losses every day.
