The candidate of Podemos for the elections of 29N, Irene Montero, has censured that attention be focused on the possible human error of a worker in the railway accident of Urda (Toledo), while "everyone sees that the system fails, that liberalization and business have consequences".

In a message disseminated on social networks, she has called for these days not to become "neither rumors nor vultures", nor, she has pointed out, into "taking the easy way out" and "placing all the responsibility on a worker when everyone sees that the system fails". "It is the last thing we need today and always," she emphasized, insisting that these are days of "pain for the victims and their loved ones".

Montero has again warned that the partial liberalization of railway transport entails effects on safety, an issue on which drivers and specialists in the sector have been warning for some time.

Criticisms from Compromís over the leaking of audio recordings

At the same time, Compromís has described as "despicable" the leaks to the media of the audio recordings with the communications between Adif staff and the drivers of the trains involved in the accident.

The deputy of the Valencian coalition in Congress, Alberto Ibáñez, has stated on social networks that "respect for the dead, the injured and emergency teams is above anything else".

"The political responsibilities will come," Ibáñez emphasized, who also considered the dissemination of the recordings among workers moments before the accident to be "despicable".
