The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, appears this Wednesday in Ceuta after holding his first meeting with the president of the Autonomous City, Juan Vivas, since he was appointed functional authority to manage the migration crisis.
The meeting has served to agree that the spaces that are enabled to accommodate migrants will be decided "by consensus" between the central Government and the Autonomous City.
Torres has also downplayed the scope of the list of facilities included in the Royal Decree approved by the Council of Ministers and has defined it as a "modifiable and flexible maximum proposal". As he explained, some facilities, such as sports centers, would only be used in an "extreme" situation that the Executive does not consider foreseeable.
The minister has also advanced that the list of resources can be updated weekly and incorporate new spaces that do not currently appear in the decree, always by agreement between the administrations.
