The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, has requested the Director General of the Police, Francisco Pardo, to confirm "as soon as possible" the content of a report in which the entry of migrants recorded in Ceuta on July 30 and 31 would be attributed to the Moroccan Security Forces and Corps.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, Marlaska has sent a letter to Pardo in which he "demands to be informed about the veracity" of the document that the National Center for Immigration and Borders (CENIF) would have sent to the National Court in those terms, as 'El Español' reported.
If the content of the report is confirmed, the Interior Minister urges Pardo to specify "since when the National Police had that investigation" understanding that it is "essential for the Government to adopt the appropriate decisions regarding the migration crisis in Ceuta in exercising its constitutional functions of directing domestic and foreign policy and defending the State," they have indicated from his department.
Furthermore, Marlaska has emphasized before the Director General of the Police that, after the situation of interest for national security was declared by the Government on August 25, "such information should have been immediately made available to the members of the National Security Council," of the 'single command' headed by the Minister of Territorial Policy, Ángel Víctor Torres, and the other bodies with responsibilities in this area.
