The Socialist Party has expressed its satisfaction with the validation this Wednesday in the Congress of Deputies of the Royal Decree-law supporting Ceuta and with the approval of the reforms of the dependency and disability laws. "Two advances that speak of the same thing: governing to solve problems and improve people's lives."
In a note disseminated by the party, the socialists recall that "the Government was with Ceuta from the very first moment" and emphasize that "the decree validated today mobilizes 309 million euros, an injection equivalent to 16% of Ceuta's annual GDP" with the aim of "strengthening public services, security, and reception and supporting workers, self-employed individuals, and companies."
The PSOE highlights that the Executive has allocated 430 million for "the reinforcement" and "financing" of public services "and another 70 million for infrastructure." "The Government governs: it provides resources, coordinates administrations, and offers solutions," the organization has defended.
Reform of the dependency and disability laws
The party has described the reform of the dependency and disability regulations as "historic," understanding that it expands "rights, services, and benefits," "reduces bureaucracy, and incorporates new technological tools."
Furthermore, they emphasize that a state funding of 50% is guaranteed and the largest reinforcement of resources "in history," "with an additional 6.2 billion for the autonomous communities between 2026 and 2027." "More resources to reduce waiting lists and prepare our care system for a society that will increasingly need it," they added.
Finally, the PSOE has congratulated itself on the 77 legislative initiatives approved in Congress "against those who have been saying for three years that it is not possible to govern." "We govern for and by the people. To solve problems. To expand rights. To improve lives. For what really matters," they concluded.
