The general secretary of the Partido Popular, Miguel Tellado, has accused the so-called «sewers of the PSOE» of having even considered a physical action against Judge Beatriz Biedma, who is in charge of investigating the hiring of David Sánchez, after learning the content of the latest report from the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard.
Tellado maintains that the report confirms contacts between the plot that the PP links to former socialist leaders Santos Cerdán and Leire Díez and a criminal clan from Badajoz with the aim of «eliminating» the magistrate. The popular leader has warned that, in his opinion, the conversations intercepted by the Civil Guard would not point to a metaphorical use of that term, but to a possible «physical action» against the judge.
The general secretary of the PP has placed these facts within the framework of a broader investigation into an alleged network of influences that, according to his party's accusations, would have used political contacts to try to intervene in judicial investigations and favor individuals linked to the socialist environment.
The PP demands to know who gave the order
Tellado has described as «extreme gravity» that an alleged network financed with socialist funds and related, according to his accusations, to individuals who met in Ferraz, would have offered supposed favors in the Prosecutor's Office and in the Treasury in exchange for actions against opponents.
The popular leader has also assured that the maneuvers would not have been limited to Judge Biedma. According to his interpretation of the report, the network would have also acted against journalists, anti-corruption prosecutors, and members of the UCO itself. In this context, he referred to the expression «I want bullets», which he attributes to the investigated conversations.
Tellado has thus raised the tone of his criticisms against the PSOE and has stated that the supposed structure would have shown «less moral and legal scruples than a family of known criminals from Badajoz».
«Sánchez pointed and the sewers of the PSOE acted»
The general secretary of the PP has demanded explanations from the PSOE and the Government and has questioned why, after learning the content of the report, both remain silent.
«We want to know who gave the order and who authorized this mafia to get started,» Tellado has pointed out, demanding that the PSOE «surrender, collaborate with Justice, and assume its responsibilities».
The popular leader has concluded by directly linking the alleged plot with La Moncloa: “Sánchez pointed and the PSOE's sewers acted”, and has demanded the exit of the Government of what he has called “state crime”.
The statements of Tellado come after the new report from the UCO was made known. The relevance of the conversations and the scope of the actions that could arise from them must be determined within the framework of the judicial investigation.
