The spokesperson of the PP in Congress, Ester Muñoz, has criticized this Wednesday the attitude of Real Madrid players Vinícius Jr, Kilian Mbappé, and Ibrahima Konaté for not fully showing a shirt in support of Ceuta, emphasizing that, by playing in a Spanish club, they will "have to explain why they do not want to defend Spain."
In statements to the media in the corridors of the Lower House, the 'popular' leader admitted that she felt "quite embarrassed" upon learning of the gesture of the three footballers and highlighted that "one of them" even holds Spanish nationality, referring to Vinícius, who was naturalized in 2022.
"I think it is a humanitarian issue and they will have to explain why. To me, honestly, it gave me quite a bit of embarrassment, but maybe not to them," Muñoz added, insisting that the situation in Ceuta is "unprecedented" and that the people of Ceuta should receive support from all Spanish teams.
