The professional agrarian organizations of Castilla y León Asaja, UCCL, and COAG have demanded from cooperatives, agricultural input companies, and other agents linked to the primary sector an "explicit" and "express" support for the mobilization called for this Wednesday, October 28, in Madrid in defense of the profitability of the countryside.

With this objective, they have urged cooperatives and supply firms to keep their facilities closed today as a gesture of support for the demands of farmers and ranchers, "who are essentially their clients," they have emphasized.

Under the slogan "Feeding must allow for living. For a future-proof countryside, solutions Now!", the agrarian organizations will demand in the protest an emergency plan in response to the rising production costs, the implementation of a professional agricultural diesel, a solid CAP with sufficient funding, fair prices, and compliance with the Food Chain Law.

They will also demand that reciprocity be guaranteed in the EU's trade agreements with third countries to curb unfair competition from imports, along with a reduction in the bureaucratic burden that farms bear.

As the organizers have recalled, nearly 500 tractors will attend the mobilization, organized in five columns coming from Torrejón de la Calzada, Guadalajara, El Espinar, Buitrago del Lozoya, and Arganda del Rey. The agricultural vehicles will enter Madrid via the authorized routes until converging in the capital, and from Colón, the march will advance along Paseo de Recoletos and Paseo del Prado until reaching the roundabout of Emperor Charles V, where it will conclude in front of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food.
