The Galician Coast Guard has carried out a new intervention against poaching in the Arousa estuary, in which seven kilograms of octopus have been seized. All the confiscated seafood was immediately returned to the sea.

According to this agency, dependent on the Consellería do Mar, through its social networks, of the total seized, one kilogram did not comply with current regulations. In the framework of the same operation, 68 unmarked traps were also confiscated, of which 60 were for octopus and eight for spider crab.
