A group of 25 students is carrying out their university internships in different parts of Galicia through the 'Campus Rural' program, an initiative promoted by the central Government.
"It is a clear commitment to equal opportunities and to the future of our rural territories," assures, in a statement, the Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco.
The students participating in Galicia have chosen areas such as the wine sector, various public administrations, or heritage, receiving a monthly remuneration of 1,000 euros.
This proposal allows for training internships of between two and five months in rural municipalities or in entities that work on the development of these areas.
In its first three editions, the central Government has allocated more than 400,000 euros to the public universities of Galicia for this program, which is coordinated by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge.
