The free concerts of Hispanidad 2026 continue this Sunday, October 11, and Monday, October 12, in Madrid with performances by Marta Sánchez, Carlos Baute, Cimafunk, Jenny and The Mexicats, and other artists distributed across the main stages of the city.

This year's programming presents an important change regarding the initial lineup: the concerts planned at Puerta del Sol have been moved to the multipurpose esplanade of Madrid Río due to the camping related to housing protests.

The Community of Madrid has updated the locations and maintains the performances at Plaza de España and Plaza Mayor in their planned sites.

Marta Sánchez sings on Sunday at 13:00 in Plaza de España

One of the main free concerts on Sunday will be by Marta Sánchez.

The singer will perform at 13:00 in Plaza de España, as part of the official programming of Hispanidad 2026.

In the afternoon, the same stage will host Tipa Tipo at 19:00 and Los Cumbia Stars at 21:00.

The concerts maintain the location announced by the Community of Madrid.

The concerts moved from Sol to Madrid Río

The main change in the programming affects the artists who were initially supposed to perform at Puerta del Sol.

The camping for housing set up in the square has forced the relocation of those performances to the multipurpose esplanade of Madrid Río.

On Sunday the 11th, Comandante Twin will perform at 12:00, Jenny and The Mexicats at 13:30, Aymée Nuviola at 19:00, and Cimafunk at 21:00.

The Community of Madrid has confirmed the new locations for these concerts and maintains them as free access activities.

The relocation affects the planned stage, but does not imply the cancellation of the performances.

Plaza Mayor: jazz, symphonic music and flamenco

The Plaza Mayor also maintains its original programming.

On Sunday the 11th, Tori Sparks will perform at 13:00.

At 18:30, the concert of the Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid will arrive.

The day will end at 21:00 with the show From Nina Simone to La Paquera, a musical proposal that connects the repertoires of both artists.

All these shows are listed as free in the official program.

Concerts on Monday, October 12: Carlos Baute and the musical SIX

On Monday the 12th, Day of the Hispanidad, Carlos Baute will close the programming of the Plaza de España with a free performance scheduled for 20:00.

Before his concert, Galdri Pereira and the cast of the musical SIX will participate on the same stage, according to the program of the Community of Madrid.

The Plaza Mayor will host the Flamenco Stars Gala, organized with the Corral de la Morería and scheduled from 20:00.

In Madrid Río, the programming on Monday will be led by the professional dance conservatories Mariemma, Carmen Amaya, and Fortea.

For the performances prior to Baute's concert and the dance exhibitions, attendees should consult the updated official program if they wish to know the individual time of each intervention.

How to get to the concerts and which stage to choose

The Plaza de España, the Plaza Mayor, and the multi-purpose esplanade of Madrid Río are different spaces.

The Plaza de España concentrates some of the festival's most attended concerts.

The Plaza Mayor brings together jazz, flamenco, and symphonic music performances.

Madrid Río hosts the programming moved from Sol, with artists like Jenny and The Mexicats, Aymée Nuviola, and Cimafunk.

The City Council of Madrid has a specific mobility plan for the concerts, with measures to regulate traffic and facilitate movement.

The Community of Madrid recommends checking the updated official locations to avoid mistakenly going to the Puerta del Sol.

Hispanidad 2026 will conclude on Monday, October 12, after a program that has brought together more than 200 cultural activities in different spaces of the region.
