A judge has ordered the provisional imprisonment of the man arrested by the National Police inside an apartment in Las Vegas, in the neighborhood of Tres Mil Viviendas in Seville, last Friday afternoon, accused of keeping an 18-year-old girl with whom he had a romantic relationship detained and chained.
As published by Diario de Sevilla and confirmed by police sources consulted by Europa Press, the victim took advantage of a moment of carelessness from her aggressor to call for help from a window, which made several neighbors aware of the situation and immediately alerted the Police.
After the alert call, the agents organized an operation that culminated in the release of the young woman and the arrest of four people. One of them is the boyfriend, while the other three are considered alleged accomplices or necessary collaborators, and have been released after going through police facilities.
According to the investigation, the young woman was confined in a room of the house, locked with a key, with no possibility of leaving and, at one point, was even restrained with a chain. In addition, she showed clear signs of malnutrition when located by the agents.
The main arrested person is attributed with an alleged crime of illegal detention and has a criminal record for various criminal acts, some of a violent nature. The events took place on Rojo y Negro street, in the neighborhood of Martínez Montañés, popularly known as Las Vegas.
