The presiding judge of court 3 of the Instruction Section of the Court of Instance of Orense has ordered the provisional imprisonment, communicated and without bail, of the five arrested in a police operation carried out in Orense, Huesca, and Madrid, in which 36 kilograms of cocaine and a firearm were seized.
Sources from the Superior Court of Justice of Galicia (TSXG) have indicated that all the detainees are being investigated for an alleged crime of drug trafficking that causes serious harm to health in a quantity of notable importance, as well as for belonging to a criminal organization. Additionally, one of them, A.R.V., is also listed as being investigated for illegal possession of firearms.
The investigations began at the beginning of last year, when the agents became aware of possible criminal activities related to the trafficking of narcotic substances in the province of Ourense.
In the exploitation phase of the operation, the investigators carried out five searches in different homes: in a house in Seixalbo (Orense), where a firearm was found; in Allariz (Orense); in the city of Orense; in Aldea del Fresno (Madrid); and in Valdemoro (Madrid).
During these searches, several backpacks allegedly used for the maritime transport of drugs were also confiscated. As part of the operation, two people were arrested in Valdemoro (Madrid), one person in Fraga (Huesca), one person in Ourense city, and another in Seixalbo (Orense).
