The former judge Luis José Sáenz de Tejada has clarified that when he spoke of "eliminating judicially" Beatriz Biedma, the magistrate from Badajoz who handled the case concerning the brother of the President of the Government, he was referring exclusively to the procedural sphere, and he has insisted that it is "absolutely false" that he has pursued or harassed her.

Sáenz de Tejada appeared this Wednesday before the judge of the Audiencia Nacional Santiago Pedraz as the accused in the so-called 'Leire Díez case', in which an alleged scheme aimed at neutralizing judicial proceedings that would affect the PSOE and the Executive is being investigated, and which would have been headed by the former Socialist leader Santos Cerdán and organized by the former member Leire Díez.

Upon leaving the Audiencia Nacional, the former judge denied "categorically" to reporters having received any assignment from Leire Díez. He explained that for years he has held meetings with "politicians and journalists" with the aim of denouncing "judicial misconduct in Badajoz".

Likewise, he denied having contacted Cintia Rocho, linked to a criminal group from Badajoz dedicated to drug trafficking, to ask her to "eliminate" Biedma, something she stated before the Guardia Civil. "Cintia Rocho is someone’s daydream and has linked it to this," the former judge said, who specified that his purpose was to "eliminate in the judicial process" the judge because of "manifest enmity".

He also again denied that he followed the magistrate in the vicinity of Talavera la Real airport (Badajoz), when she was returning from testifying before the Audiencia Nacional as an injured party, as she reported. He maintains that at that moment he was "more than 450 kilometers" away.

According to a report by the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Guardia Civil, the origin of the alleged maneuvers against Biedma is located in a contact in August 2024 between the businessmen Joaquín Parra and Javier Pérez Dolset. In that conversation, the latter would have asked the former "if he had any contact in Badajoz, with such request being specified in relation to the former judge Sáenz de Tejada".

That same month, a WhatsApp group called 'Vacations and trips' would have been created, in which Dolset, Díez, Parra and Sáenz de Tejada would participate, and which, according to the investigators, would have been "the main communication channel used with regard to this line of action".

In a written statement addressed to Judge Pedraz, Sáenz de Tejada has accused the UCO agents of not telling the truth, denouncing that they have carried out a "false imputation of facts without any investigation whatsoever" and reiterating that he has not harassed Judge Biedma.
