The president of Junts in the Parlament de Catalunya, Mònica Sales, has called for the head of the Govern, Salvador Illa, to assume "political responsibilities" following the death by gunshots of a patient admitted to the Hospital Joan XXIII in Tarragona during the early hours of this Thursday.
In a message published on "X" and collected by Europa Press, Sales has denounced that "shootings are multiplying and are no longer occurring only in the streets, but even in the room of a hospital", and has called for urgent explanations from the Catalan Executive. To this end, Junts has filed in the Catalan Chamber a series of questions addressed to the Govern.
Sales has stressed that this Wednesday her group already called for the resignation of the consellera de Interior, Núria Parlon, as a result of Saturday's disturbances in Barcelona, and has underlined: "Each day that passes, her continuation at the head of the Departament de Interior is more unsustainable".
