The spokesperson for the PP in the Region of Murcia and deputy in Congress, Miriam Guardiola, has demanded this Monday that the Murcian PSOE clarify "what it will do next Wednesday: will it listen to its boss Sánchez or will it be with thousands of citizens in the street defending the Ceutíes," as the party has stated in a press release.
Guardiola has announced that the PP "will be in all municipalities of the Region of Murcia supporting the Ceutíes" in the gatherings called coinciding with the celebration of the Day of Ceuta, after the events that occurred on July 30 and 31 and in the following weeks.
She added that "while the PSOE and the Government delegate in Murcia, Francisco Lucas, decide whether they are with Sánchez or with the Ceutíes, who a month after the incidents continue to be forgotten, the PP is clear: we will be with the citizens of Ceuta, with Spain and with the defense of our borders."
The 'popular' leader has emphasized that these mobilizations are not formally "against anyone," but are "in favor of the defense of territorial integrity and national sovereignty, and for Ceuta to recover normality as soon as possible."
In this line, Guardiola has demanded from Pedro Sánchez's Executive that "it act once and with the utmost urgency" in the face of a situation that, in her opinion, "has highlighted the incapacity of the Executive to manage migratory pressure and guarantee the safety of Spaniards."
She has warned that "the Government cannot remain with its arms crossed while Ceuta endures an exceptional situation. Sánchez must activate all necessary diplomatic channels for the migrants who entered irregularly into the autonomous city at the end of July and who, a month later, remain there to return."
"They are not alone"
Under the slogan "THEY ARE NOT ALONE," the spokesperson has insisted that "the Ceutíes are not alone. The Popular Party will be by their side, from all municipalities of the Region of Murcia, because when we talk about the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Spain, there are no first and second territories nor first and second citizens."
Guardiola has also reproached Pedro Sánchez for "keeping the Government just to resist for the sake of resisting and being for the sake of being, not for governing," and has pointed out that "the migratory crisis in Ceuta once again demonstrates the consequences of having a Government more concerned about its political survival than about solving the problems of Spaniards."
In view of the day of protests, he has assured that "this Wednesday we will see who is on the side of the Ceutíes and who prefers to continue justifying and applauding the management of his boss Sánchez. The PP has no doubt: we will be with Ceuta, with its neighbors, with our borders, and with Spain."
