In parallel, the cloud computing division AWS obtained between July and September a turnover of 45,984 million dollars (41,297 million euros), which implies an increase of 39.3% compared with the same period of the previous year.

In that same interval, total revenues stood at 584,069 million dollars (524,534 million euros), 16% above the figure from a year ago.

"Our investment in AWS in functionality and infrastructure is paying off, with year-on-year revenue growth of more than 39% in the third quarter and revenue growth projections of more than 40% in both 2027 and 2028," declared Andy Jassy, president and chief executive officer of Amazon. "Never before has there been a business with 1 trillion dollars in revenue, and we could have two in the next 5 to 10 years," he added.

Forecasts for the close of the fiscal year

Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the multinational anticipates that its net sales will be in a range of between 240.000 and 247.000 million dollars (215.537 and 221.823 million euros), which would mean a year-on-year increase of between 12% and 16%.
