OpenAI announced this Thursday the incorporation of Dali Rajic as the new revenue director of the company, taking on the responsibility for the global billing strategy of the artificial intelligence 'startup' creator of ChatGPT.
With this move, Denise Dresser will relinquish the position she has held for approximately eight months and, after a transition period, will leave the company "to explore other opportunities."
The firm has emphasized that the former CEO of Slack between 2023 and 2025 has been key to accelerating the expansion of OpenAI's solutions, which already reach more than 1 billion active users per week and more than two million companies, double that of a year ago.
However, OpenAI states that it is "at a turning point," given that the next generation of models will change not only the way of working but also how organizations are designed and managed. In this new context, Rajic will be responsible for articulating the revenue operating system that allows scaling the business at this stage.
The company believes that the executive brings a solid track record in leading rigorous, metrics-oriented revenue teams, with international presence and the ability to sell to both large corporations and technical profiles.
Recently, Rajic has served as president and chief operating officer of Wiz, acquired by Google in 2025, and previously held the positions of president and chief operating officer at Zscaler, as well as director of customers and revenue at AppDynamics.
"We are entering an economy driven by computing, where AI is integrated into every workflow," said Greg Brockman, president and co-founder of OpenAI.
"I am excited to join the team, leverage the existing momentum, and lead the revenue department to help customers maximize the value of AI," stated Dali Rajic, new revenue director of OpenAI.
Dresser's departure adds to the announcement made this same week about Brad Lightcap's decision to also leave the company, where he had worked since 2018.
