The specialized group in solutions for energy and digital connections Prysmian has closed the first nine months of the fiscal year with a net profit of 977 million, which represents a decline of 4.1% driven by the sale in 2025 of YOFC, according to what it detailed in a statement released this Thursday.
In that same period, the company recorded revenues of 17.656 million through September, 9.2% higher than those of the previous year, while adjusted Ebitda rose to 2.182 million, 22.9% more year-on-year. At the same time, financial debt was reduced by 33.8%, to stand at 2.857 million.
The company's ceo, Massimo Battaini, has indicated that the third quarter "has been the best" for the company so far and that this performance allows them to surpass the objectives set for 2028 one year ahead of the planned schedule.
The executive has highlighted the diversification of Prysmian's activities, with a year-on-year increase in turnover of 13.2% in Transmission, 12% in Power Grid, 6.3% in Electrification, 9.6% in Industrial and Construction and 15.1% in Digital Solutions, while the Specialties area reduced its sales by 1.2%.
With this business performance, the company has raised its forecasts for the year as a whole and now expects to close the fiscal year with adjusted Ebitda of between 3.075 million and 3.125 million, as well as free cash flow in a range of between 1.750 million and 1.850 million.
