RIU Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of the Hotel Riu Palace Phuket, a five-star resort that becomes the first establishment of the chain in Thailand.
The new accommodation is located on the beachfront, on the northwest coast of Mai Khao, next to Sirinat National Park and 16 kilometers from Phuket International Airport.
The resort features 504 rooms distributed across several buildings of up to four stories, linked together by covered walkways.
Among its services, 49 rooms integrated into the "Elite Club by RIU" concept stand out, a premium proposal that offers guests an independent lobby and check-in, reserved restaurant and pool, expanded minibar, and the possibility to book "Swim Up" stays with a private pool on the terrace.
The hotel's offering includes the characteristic "All-Inclusive 24 Hours" service of the brand, supported by a culinary proposal consisting of six restaurants: the main buffet "Chantra," the Thai restaurant "Ruen Siam," the Italian "Il Gusto," a "Steakhouse" space, the grill concept "Pepe's Food," and an exclusive restaurant for clients in the "Elite" area.
The complex also has seven distinct bars, including a "Sports bar," the café "Capuchino," and the pool bar "Sabai" with a bar in the water.
Outside, the establishment offers a total of six pools —two for children and one reserved for the "Elite" area— along with a wellness area featuring a gym, steam room, and the "Renova Spa" center.
As a nod to local culture, the property integrates a meditation point and offerings in front of the spa, as well as an outdoor palapa dedicated to massage services in nature.
In terms of operational and environmental aspects, the hotel incorporates solar panels for clean energy generation in its industrial buildings and a rainwater collection and reuse system from the roofs for irrigating green areas.
With this opening, the Balearic company consolidates its presence in Asia and takes another step in its international diversification strategy with its entry into the Thai tourist market.
