The Youth Council of Euskadi (EGK) plans to set "next week" its position regarding the housing decrees of the central Government, once it has met with the Housing Union. These regulations will be put to a vote this Friday in the Congress of Deputies, as announced by the president of the entity, Iratxe Uriarte.
A delegation from EGK attended this Friday the Commission of Welfare, Youth, and Demographic Challenge of the Basque Parliament, where it presented the planning of the organization for this year, as well as the report corresponding to 2025.
During her appearance, and in response to the questions raised by the parliamentary groups, Uriarte pointed out that they are reviewing the content of the two decrees from the central Government and that "next week" it will be the assembly of EGK that adopts a formal position on both texts.
In this regard, she detailed that EGK will hold a meeting in the coming days with the Housing Union in order to jointly study the scope of the decrees before finalizing its "position."
Uriarte indicated that, in a first complete reading of the documents, they seemed "good" to her, although she later specified, at the end of the commission, that the official statement from EGK will not be finalized until next week.
