Adelante Andalucía wants citizens to participate directly in the drafting of its electoral program for the general elections on the upcoming November 29. The Andalusian formation has launched a public consultation through its social networks to gather proposals and initiatives that can be incorporated into its political project, in a campaign with which it aims to achieve representation in the Congress of Deputies.

According to the party's communication on its official X account, interested individuals can send their proposals to the email programa@adelanteandalucia.org, which is also available for those who want to collaborate in the process of drafting the document. The initiative comes after Adelante Andalucía has far exceeded the number of endorsements required to present candidacies in the eight Andalusian provinces.

Adelante Andalucía surpasses 37,000 endorsements to run for Congress

The formation led by José Ignacio García has managed to gather 37,409 signatures, almost six times more than the 6,514 necessary to run in the general elections. The Organic Law of the General Electoral Regime (LOREG) requires parties that did not obtain parliamentary representation in the previous elections to present endorsements equivalent to at least 0.1% of the electoral roll of each constituency.

Of the total support collected, around 30,000 correspond to in-person signatures and another 7,000 have been processed online, according to data provided by the party. García has celebrated the participation recorded in universities, neighborhoods, and various public spaces, interpreting the result as a sign of interest in his political project.

"The response has been exceptional. There have been lines of people to sign. Very young people in universities, in neighborhoods, in high schools, in health centers. We have seen how there is a hunger for a different left", the Andalusian spokesperson has pointed out.

The collection of endorsements is an essential requirement to formalize the candidacies. The deadline for their submission to the electoral boards will end on October 26, so the formation must complete the corresponding procedures to participate in the elections.

Seven women and one man will head the lists for 29N

The opening of the electoral program coincides with Adelante Andalucía's commitment to renew the profiles that will represent the party in Congress. The formation has chosen seven women and one man to lead its eight provincial candidacies, all of them coming from different professional backgrounds and without previous experience in institutional positions.

In Almería, the head of the list will be Tania Ferre, interim teacher; in Cádiz, María Sánchez, metal engineer; in Córdoba, Carmen Sánchez, cultural guide; and in Granada, María Alcantud, student. The candidacies are completed with Carmen Martín, home care worker, for Huelva;  Silvia Cano, healthcare professional from the Andalusian Health Service, for Jaén;  Ana Jiménez, Biology teacher, for Málaga; and Luis de los Santos, lawyer specialized in human rights, for Sevilla.

García has defended the choice of these profiles as part of a strategy to incorporate new voices into national politics. "In Adelante Andalucía we deliver", the spokesperson claimed, highlighting the presence of people linked to education, healthcare, care work, and the defense of social rights.

The objective of Adelante Andalucía: to bring Andalusianism to Congress

The meeting on November 29 will represent a new attempt by Adelante Andalucía to gain representation in the Cortes Generales. In the elections of July 2023, the party presented a single candidacy for Congress in Cádiz, led by former senator Pilar González, with Teresa Rodríguez and the former mayor of Cádiz José María González, known as Kichi, in the following positions. The formation obtained just over 9,000 votes and did not achieve parliamentary representation.

On this occasion, Adelante Andalucía will run in all eight provinces, after improving its results in the regional elections of May 2026, when it went from two to eight deputies in the Andalusian Parliament.

Its spokesperson has defended that the objective of the candidacy is to bring the demands of the Andalusian left to Congress, with special attention to the working class and public services. The consultation now open to citizens aims to incorporate their proposals into an electoral program that still needs to be finalized.

With the announced candidacies and the gathered endorsements, Adelante Andalucía focuses the next phase of its pre-campaign on defining its political commitments for the 29N, opening participation to those who want to contribute to the document that will be presented to the voters.
