The coordinator of MÉS per Mallorca, Lluís Apesteguia, has positively assessed the agreement reached for Podemos to join the coalition Ara Més-Front Ampli, emphasizing that the process has been carried out with "the discretion and trust" that, in his opinion, has been lacking in other regions of the country.
Apesteguia has recalled that "Always and at all times we defended that a joint candidacy of the sovereignist and alternative left was necessary. It has been our bet, we have worked discreetly and that has been differential within the way of negotiating that we have seen in the rest of the State, which we do not consider to be the appropriate one."
The leader of MÉS has insisted that the way of conducting conversations in the Balearic Islands marks a difference compared to the negotiation dynamics that have been experienced in other communities, where, as he has pointed out, the process has been much more exposed and with greater internal tensions.
From the Mallorcanist formation, they emphasize that the incorporation of Podemos to Ara Més-Front Ampli strengthens the political space of the sovereignist and alternative left in the islands, aligned with the strategy they have been defending since the beginning of the conversations.
