The PP has appealed to the responsibility of the parliamentary groups to get the spending ceiling and the regional accounts approved, making it clear that both issues will be addressed jointly and that no kind of "swapping of figurines" will be accepted.

The deputy spokesperson of the 'popular' group in the Parlament, Marga Durán, has explained that the Govern opened last Friday a round of contacts with the different formations with the aim of closing agreements that will allow the spending ceiling, already validated by the Consell de Govern, as well as the budgets, to be approved.

Durán has emphasized that "It is no use approving a spending ceiling if then there are no budgets. We are negotiating the budget items and not other things".

Likewise, she has stressed that the accounts for 2027 incorporate the tax cuts in housing matters and the package of aid of 125 million euros to deal with inflation, measures announced by the president of the Govern, Marga Prohens, during the General Policy Debate.

In Durán's view, these initiatives are "sufficiently important" to try to reach consensus among the different political forces. In addition, she has reiterated that these are the highest budgets the community has ever had.
