The French Ministry of the Interior has updated the balance of the last day of social mobilizations on Saturday and places the number of arrested individuals at 1,314, a figure that is below the 2,628 detainees recorded on Saturday, October 17. In addition, the volume of disturbances and violent incidents has also been significantly lower than that of the previous week.

"In the framework of the new day of mobilization on Saturday, October 24, 2026, 289 public demonstrations were recorded, gathering 410,000 people, including 110,000 in Paris. Last week, 441 demonstrations were counted, which brought together 550,000 people," the Ministry explained in a statement.

Regarding the security balance, 53 agents were injured, compared to the 1,144 injured from the previous week. 75 fires were also documented —compared to the 2,025 from the previous Saturday— while several businesses suffered damage and 24 were looted, well below the 1,522 businesses affected on October 17.

The Ministry has emphasized that this is still a provisional count, which will need to be ratified in the coming hours as ongoing investigations progress.

In parallel, the Paris Prosecutor's Office indicated this Sunday that it has recorded 140 arrests linked to the demonstration on Saturday, of which 105 have turned into formal detentions, including 14 minors. Most are being investigated for crimes of participation in a group formed with the aim of preparing acts of violence against individuals or destruction or damage to property during demonstrations in public spaces, violence against individuals holding public authority, intentional damage, contempt of court, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
