The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, has described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a "snake" this Monday, reproaching him for maintaining different speeches in Hebrew and English about his "influence" in the United States and his relationship with the current occupant of the White House, Donald Trump.
"In Hebrew, Netanyahu openly boasts of having deceived the U.S. Administration into going to war with Iran on behalf of Israel," Araqchi pointed out, who has disseminated statements from the Israeli leader in which he refers to his efforts to gain military support from Washington.
"Netanyahu openly laughs at how he 'influenced' the United States through a thousand hours of broadcasting on American networks. In English, he praises the leadership of the President of the United States. Snake," concluded the head of Iranian diplomacy in a message shared on social media.
Araqchi's words come in a context of maximum tension in the Middle East, marked by the conflict triggered on February 28 after the surprise offensive by the United States and Israel against the Asian country, which began while Washington and Tehran were maintaining diplomatic contacts to try to close a new nuclear deal.
The United States, which last week announced a commercial offensive aimed at blocking any funding route for Iran, has carried out several airstrikes on the Iranian island of Larak in recent hours, the first in almost a month, which has prompted a response from the Revolutionary Guard against targets located in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
