The security forces of Pakistan have killed seven alleged terrorists this Friday during an operation carried out in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, in the north of the country and near the border with Afghanistan, in a context of intensification of actions against armed organizations operating in this Central Asian state.

According to security sources cited by the public broadcaster "Radio Pakistan," the suspects, supposedly members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), known as the Pakistani Taliban, have lost their lives in an intervention in the town of Eidak, in the North Waziristan province, with no further details about the operation having emerged so far.

The offensive has been launched following the attacks carried out on Thursday by Pakistan against alleged TTP enclaves in eastern Afghanistan, which resulted in the death of 22 suspects. However, the United Nations indicated that these bombings may have also caused the death of at least ten civilians.

The border strip between Afghanistan and Pakistan has been plagued by high instability for years, especially due to the armed actions of the Pakistani Taliban, in a climate marked by Islamabad's accusations against India and the Afghan Taliban for their supposed support of this organization, something that both New Delhi and Kabul have repeatedly denied.
