The Iranian authorities warned this Wednesday that the United States will face "a new strategy" from Tehran following the recent series of bombings against Iranian territory, an escalation that has led the Revolutionary Guard to respond against American interests in the region and has rekindled fears of an open large-scale conflict in the Middle East.

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Mohsen Rezaei, emphasized in a message disseminated on social media that "With these actions, not only will they not be able to escape the depths of the hell they have created for themselves, but they will soon see that Iran's new strategy on the battlefield, diplomacy, and the fight against the economic blockade will shatter their foundations."

The Central Command of the United States Armed Forces (CENTCOM) reported on Tuesday that its troops had carried out attacks against positions linked to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard in several locations across the country, operations that would have resulted in at least 18 fatalities, including around a dozen civilians, two of whom were minors.

In response, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard claimed responsibility for a series of offensives against American targets spread across the region, specifically in Jordan and Iraq — including the semi-autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan — as well as in Bahrain and Kuwait, in a context marked by the blockage of talks mediated by Iran to try to reach a peace agreement between Washington and Tehran.
