The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have reported that they have carried out a search at the premises of the Ukrainian Central Bank, as well as at the home of one of its employees.

In a brief message disseminated on social media, both agencies emphasized that "no one has been arrested nor have any suspicion notices been issued," and they stressed that the actions, carried out in Kyiv, have been conducted in accordance with current legislation, without providing additional information for now.

The Central Bank of Ukraine has confirmed that these inspections have taken place, but has not offered further explanations about the scope of them.

"The bank confirms the information about the investigations carried out by the NABU at the facilities of the National Bank. Additional explanations will be provided once the procedures are concluded," the statement indicates.
