The Yemeni Army communicated this Sunday that, during the last 24 hours, it has executed more than 180 offensive actions against enclaves controlled by the Houthi rebels, ensuring that these operations have left "dozens" of dead and wounded among the insurgency fighters.
"The Armed Forces carried out 184 military operations in the last 24 hours, using drones, artillery, and rocket launchers, against positions (...) of the Houthi terrorist militia on various battle fronts," stated its spokesperson, Colonel Majid Abdulá al Tairi, in an extensive statement in which he assures that the attacks caused "dozens" of dead and wounded among the Houthi fighters, destroyed "dozens" of equipment and "several" weapon depots.
According to Al Tairi, the forces loyal to the internationally recognized Government of Yemen concentrated their strikes against "military targets, resources backed by Iran, and capabilities used to carry out hostile acts" located at different points in the provinces of Marib, Hadramut, and Taiz.
Additionally, the spokesperson emphasized that the bombings were carried out respecting International Humanitarian Law, as "the necessary precautions were taken to protect the civilian population," and highlighted that the Yemeni Army maintains the "highest level of preparedness (and) integration" and is capable of "neutralizing" the threats and hostile actions of the Houthis.
The colonel argued that this campaign of attacks responds to the "repeated terrorist attacks by the Houthis against civilians, civilian infrastructure, economic facilities, and ports, as well as against units and facilities belonging to the Yemeni Armed Forces."
