Sumar has urged the Ministry of the Interior to "get its act together" to identify and detain all those involved in the attack against the deputy of "Ceuta ya," Julia Ferreras, and the activist Rafael Borrego. The party has also pointed out that there is unequal treatment by the justice system when incidents affect representatives or left-wing militants.

At the same time, the minority partner of the Executive has asked the PSOE to react immediately to the crisis facing the autonomous city and to take responsibility for the transfer of the migrant people who remain in the area, despite pressures from the EU and the right opposing these movements.

The spokesperson for the plurinational group, Verónica Martínez Barbero, has condemned in a press conference the "escalation of violence" against migrants and NGO members in Ceuta, exemplified in the "terrible attack" against the Ceuta deputy and the activist from the Gaza Support Flotilla.

In this line, she has demanded that all those responsible for these assaults be arrested and brought to justice, and has asked the Ministry of the Interior if it has anything to say about the difference in treatment between the protesters involved in this incident and the police actions that occurred against the migrants who were being transferred to the reception camp at the Port of Ceuta.

Martínez Barbero has insisted that the solution to the situation in Ceuta involves transfers and has asked the Government of Ceuta, presided over by Juan José Vivas, to stop putting "obstacles" to the relocation of unaccompanied minors. At the same time, she has sent a message to the PSOE to act accordingly, facilitate their arrival on the Peninsula, and stop accepting the "blackmail" from the European Commission.

The deputy from Más Madrid, Tesh Sidi, has condemned in another appearance the attack on the Ceuta deputy and has expressed her concern about the increase in violence in the city, which she has dissociated from the "legitimate fear" that the Ceuta population may feel after the massive influx of migrants at the end of July.

Marlaska has to democratize justice

Sidi has questioned why only one arrest has been made for the incident that affected the Ceuta deputy and has demanded that the Ministry of the Interior "get its act together" to identify all those involved in the aggression.

Your bench mate and deputy from Compromís, Alberto Ibáñez, has hardened the discourse by qualifying the attack suffered by the activist and the Ceuta deputy at the hands of "ultras from the far right" as an "attack," and has asked "where is the National Court," which in other similar episodes acts more quickly.

Ibáñez, who has censured that there is only one arrested and only charged with damage to a vehicle, has denounced a different police treatment depending on whether the individuals are from the left or not, and has urged Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska, of whom he has said that "he would do well to democratize the Body."

Parliamentary questions to Interior

On the other hand, the co-spokesperson of the Comuns and deputy of the group, Aina Vidal, has attributed this episode to the discourse maintained by PP and Vox in the face of the crisis in Ceuta, warning of a clear strategy to "inoculate hate."

Her party mate, Gerardo Pisarello, has registered a series of parliamentary questions for the Government to detail what measures it plans to adopt to prevent assaults of this type and whether it has information on possible campaigns of incitement to hatred on social networks in Ceuta. In addition, he requests data on whether the actions of organized far-right groups in the city are being investigated.
