Local Police forces have arrived on Tuesday afternoon at the Trampolín settlement in Ceuta, accompanied by National Police agents, to inform the migrants that they had a one-hour deadline to remove the illegal markets set up in the area.
The police presence on the sand has generated moments of tension and confusion among the residents of the settlement. After being informed, the migrants have started to quickly dismantle the street vendor stalls they had set up on the beach.
The blankets spread on the ground, which served as improvised displays, have been disappearing rapidly. On them, various products were offered, such as shoes, loaves of bread, hygiene items, and other belongings.
The vendors have hurriedly packed the goods into bags and proceeded to remove the blankets and the rest of the elements used to set up these small markets.
This intervention takes place after the Autonomous City announced new measures to ensure compliance with municipal ordinances in the settlements and requested the cooperation of the State Security Forces and Corps.
Both the Local Police and the National Police have deployed several vans, which have been parked in the vicinity of the Trampolín as part of the operation.
