Vox has registered as independents 20 people linked to the formation who are integrated into the candidacies of the Partido Popular for the Senate for the elections on the next November 29, in the constituencies of Las Palmas, Tenerife, Balearic Islands, Cádiz, Castellón, and Valencia.

In this way, Alba Moreno, Yeray A. Suárez, and Belén Bordils, members of the party's press team, and Miguel Rovira, communication director of the Fundación Disenso; José Luis Aguirre, who was a deputy in Les Cortes; and the writer Enrique García Maiquez appear on the ballots as number one, two, or three, accompanied by one or two substitutes also linked to Vox who are also presenting themselves as independents, as confirmed this Monday by Vox.

In the province of Castellón, Miguel Rovira will participate as number three, with Arantza Miralles as the first substitute and Cristóbal Caballero as the second. For his part, José Luis Aguirre will occupy the number two position for Valencia, with Isabel Castellano and Vicente Moreno as substitutes.

In the case of the Balearic Islands, Vox will not include candidates in Ibiza or Menorca, but Belén Bordils will be number two for Mallorca --followed by Jordi Aguiló and Nerea García as substitutes-- and Vicente Tur will head the candidacy for Formentera --with Carolina Tur as a substitute--.

This same strategy is applied in the Canary archipelago, where the formation will not present lists in Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Gomera, El Hierro, and La Palma, while it will compete with Alba Moreno as number two, with Yeray Antonio Suárez and María Cristina Aguado as substitutes. In addition, José Francisco García will be number two for Tenerife, accompanied by Isis María Luque and David Fernández as substitutes.

This is the result of the agreement made public this Monday with the PP, by which the formation led by Santiago Abascal renounces to compete in those six provinces and, in exchange, the 'popular' commit to not present lists in three others.

Finally, in the province of Cádiz, Enrique García will occupy number three, with María del Carmen Salas as the first substitute and Agustín Jiménez as the second.

With this formula, both formations seek to maximize the performance of the right-wing vote to counteract the pact between the Socialist Party and the Frente Amplio, who have decided to compete with a single candidacy with the aim of putting an end to the absolute majority that has dominated the Upper House during this legislature.
