Agenda August 17-23

MIGRATORY CRISIS CEUTA

The pulse continues. The PP does not relent in its attempt to bring to the Senate to appear before their respective committees the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Interior. Albares is summoned for Monday, August 17, Margarita Robles on the 18th, and Marlaska on Friday the 20th; but none of them will attend. Moncloa has scheduled their appearances to provide explanations of the migratory crisis in Ceuta, but the last week of the month and in Congress.

More time. Robles was the only minister who, at first, considered attending. A position that, shortly after, changed. The Minister of Defense sent a letter to the President of the Senate, Pedro Rollán, claiming that she needs “more time” to adequately prepare her intervention.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Finishing vacations. This will be the last week without significant activity due to the summer break. Already the following week, the first Council of Ministers is expected for Tuesday, August 25, and the Permanent Deputation on the 26th. In addition, appearances regarding the migratory crisis in Ceuta are expected throughout the week: Defense (August 25), Presidency in National Security (August 27), Interior and Foreign Affairs (August 28).
