The Treviño and Álava Association for the Countryside (ATACA) has reiterated its demand for "fair prices and policies that guarantee the survival of agricultural and livestock farms".
Through a statement, ATACA has conveyed its support for the mobilizations called for this Saturday by the National Union of Independent Primary Sector Associations (UNASPI), in defense of an agriculture and livestock sector "that allows those who work in it to live with dignity".
According to ATACA, these protests "are part of a call that will extend throughout Europe". The group has emphasized that "once again, we professionals of the primary sector are forced to raise our voices in the face of a situation that threatens the continuity of our farms".
In this regard, the association has warned that production costs "remain exorbitant" compared with the prices received by producers, while administrative obligations "consume an increasingly larger share of time and resources".
