The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has initiated this Wednesday the procedure for prior public consultation for the preparation of a draft ministerial order that will establish the regulatory bases for future aid aimed at sustainable agricultural practices, according to the department itself. This citizen participation process will remain open until September 16, 2026.

The objective of the initiative is to define the framework for granting subsidies aimed at promoting good practices in the agricultural sector and reinforcing Nature-Based Solutions, as well as sustainable food production models throughout the national territory. Once these bases are approved, the corresponding calls will be launched, which will be adjusted to the particularities and specific demands of each area.

From Ecological Transition, they have highlighted that the entry into force of these bases will make it possible to activate a specific call for support for dryland crops and organic farming in the environment of the natural space of Doñana, endowed with 8.5 million, integrated into the Framework of Actions for Sustainable Territorial Development of the Area of Influence of the Natural Space.
