The president of the Government of Aragón, Jorge Azcón, assured this Friday in the plenary session of the Cortes de Aragón that the management of the personnel of the DGA carried out by his Executive "is much better" than that of the previous Government, in response to a question from the spokesperson of A-TE, Tomás Guitarte.
Azcón emphasized that in this stage, the working conditions of public employees have improved and highlighted that the regional Executive is doing "everything in its power" to fill the vacant positions of both civil servants and labor personnel.
He detailed that the number of vacancies amounts to 843 and has been cut by 30% since 2023, noting that Teruel is the province with the fewest unfilled positions in the entire Autonomous Community and that the temporary employment rate has been reduced to 24 percent. He added that the percentage of positions in the General Administration of the State in this province stands at 22%.
Regarding the doctors of Salud, the Aragonese president recalled that under his Government, the number of access positions to the Medical career has increased and that, thanks to the loyalty decree, 171 specialists have been assigned to the territory. He specified that 98% of the positions in Alcañiz, Teruel, Barbastro, Calatayud, and Huesca are currently filled.
"This Government is dedicated to solving problems," Azcón emphasized, announcing that a salary increase of 7.75 percent will be applied in the educational field and that this week the call for exams to fill 900 positions for Secondary teachers has been made public.
Likewise, he pointed out that both in the public and private sectors "it is not easy" to find qualified professionals and that the Executive is prioritizing the coverage of the most demanded positions.
For his part, Tomás Guitarte defended that the Administration "must be in the territory to be effective" and stressed that for a citizen to be attended to, the presence of a public employee is essential.
He denounced that in the provincial delegations of the DGA, "not even half of the positions" are occupied and cited the vacancies of veterinarians in the Agro-environmental Regional Offices as an example, while "parallel" teams are being formed to carry out certain projects, such as the PIGA declarations of business initiatives.
"The time has come for the entire Administration to be operational across the whole territory," insisted the spokesperson for Aragón-Teruel Existe, lamenting that in some cases the new officials "are back in Zaragoza after five days."
Guitarte has accused the president of "you creating positions to facilitate the projects of your friends from the multinationals and delaying them in citizen matters" and has warned about "the political will to privatize certain services."
