The spokesperson for the PP in the Cortes, Ana Marín, insisted this Thursday that the crisis in Ceuta and the attention to migrant minors "is not resolved in a meeting of the Sectorial of Childhood" and reproached the Executive of Pedro Sánchez for "applying a roller, imposing already made decisions."
In her intervention, she emphasized that "That meeting is not a sectorial to reach agreements. That sectorial is a roller for the Government of Spain to impose its decisions on the autonomous communities. That sectorial is a roller today and has been in all convocations since Pedro Sánchez, with the connivance of IU, which today tears its garments, made the decision to leave both the Basque Country and Catalonia out of the distribution of minors."
Marín also pointed out that, after almost a month since the beginning of the crisis, the Government "still does not know how many migrants are currently in Ceuta" and criticized that "One month, a Sectorial Conference on Childhood today and without knowing how many minors are in Ceuta. One month talking about the serious risks of migrant girls but without making decisions. No sectorial whose decisions are already made before being held will be able to cover the miseries of this Government. The situation in Ceuta is not resolved in that meeting. The situation of migrant minors is not resolved either."
Accusation of neglect of duties
Under the heading of neglect of duties, the popular leader has assured that Sánchez's Executive has acted late and poorly. As she indicated, "It is essential and urgent to return all migrants to Morocco and it is a priority that minors return with their families, that is what Pedro Sánchez should have dedicated himself to from minute one, but no, we had to wait for the president to return from vacation and now the problem is very serious and the situation unsustainable."
Likewise, she condemned that the PSOE of Aragón "now starts talking about institutional loyalty" and asked "What institutional loyalty is the PSOE talking about? The one of its preferred partner Junts, again demanding that Catalonia not receive a single minor and threatening the Government with withdrawing its support if it does not comply with this demand or the institutional loyalty that its Government has had with Ceuta after a month without making decisions, with a president on vacation who has abandoned the Ceutíes and, also, the migrants, to their fate."
