The president of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, registered this Monday a formal request to appear before the full Parlament in order to inform about the tests of the PISA report.
The request is included in a letter sent to the president of the Parlament, Josep Rull, consulted by Europa Press, after the crisis unleashed in the Departament of Education due to the error in the sample that has left Catalunya out of the results of the PISA report, released this Tuesday.
The opposition parties, including ERC and the Comuns, have questioned the management of the Departament in the conduct of the exams and have demanded that Illa provide explanations in parliamentary session.
Parliamentary sources have indicated that it is expected that the Table and the Board of Spokespersons will address this matter on Wednesday and agree on a date for the session.
The same sources have indicated that Illa's appearance could be held on the next September 23, before the General Policy Debate (CPG), scheduled between September 29 and October 1, with which the new session period will open.
