The full Parliament has given the green light to a motion that demands the Government to maintain and strengthen leisure education activities, including outings, camps, and school trips, as well as to compensate "adequately the teaching staff for the additional hours and the dedication that these activities entail."
The initiative, presented by Junts, has been approved with the support of PSC-Unit, Junts, ERC, PP, Vox, Comuns, and AC, while the CUP has chosen to abstain in the vote.
The text demands that the compensation systems for teaching staff be "sufficient and proportional to the responsibility assumed," and also proposes to promote actions that ensure that no student is left out of these proposals for economic reasons or due to the absence of necessary support.
Furthermore, the Chamber has unanimously supported another point of the motion that urges the Government to design a "ambitious and equitable" climate plan for educational centers.
In detail, the document specifies that this plan must take into account the current situation of the facilities, "with prioritization under objective criteria, agreed upon with the local world," and emphasizes that its deployment cannot imply new indebtedness for the municipalities.
