The spokesperson of the PP in Les Corts, Nando Pastor, has assured that "the PSOE is drowning in its own mud and is pursuing the 'president' of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca to cover its shame," after it became known that the TSJCV has decided not to admit the complaint filed by the Association Transparency and Democracy in Sports against the also president of the management of the PPCV for the invitation to attend the final of the 2026 World Cup.
Pastor has also demanded that the PSPV clarify "where the dossier is" regarding alleged irregularities linked to Llorca and his environment, a document that the Valencian socialists announced they would send to the Prosecutor's Office.
The decision of the TSJCV has been made after the judges determined that the reported facts do not fit the crime of bribery that the complainants attributed to the head of the Consell and to the chief of staff of the presidency of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, considering that the gift of a ticket for that final "is not a socially accepted practice." Thus, the court dismisses the existence of criminal responsibility in the invitation to that sporting event.
In a statement, the 'popular' spokesperson criticized the "political persecution" of the PSOE against Llorca after the TSJ archived this complaint, "which also adds to the archiving of the case related to his wife." According to Pastor, "The PSOE is once again left without arguments and without judicial recourse. Its only recipe is mud, lies, and deceit."
The PP leader has attacked the socialists by stating: "When the facts do not support them, they resort to suspicion, insinuations, and media noise. They do not seek to clarify anything; they seek to wear down the opponent and divert attention from their own problems." In his opinion, the PSPV's strategy is based on feeding baseless doubts to erode the current head of the Consell.
Pastor has taken the opportunity to insist on the need for the PSPV to provide explanations about the anonymous dossier related to alleged irregularities of Llorca and people in his environment, a document that, as he recalled, the leader of the Valencian socialists, Diana Morant, "announced she would take to the Prosecutor's Office more than two weeks ago and that, to this day, has still not been presented." The popular spokesperson has emphasized that, despite the public impact of that announcement, there is no record that any action has been formalized before the Public Ministry.
"Where is that dossier? Why don't they take it to the Prosecutor's Office? We are facing a document that no one takes responsibility for and that now everyone is fleeing from. If what they announced was so serious, they should stop making statements and go where they said they were going to go," he demanded. He also reproached that in the PSPV "they use suspicion as a smokescreen to cover their own shames, which are not few," and "they intend to give lessons while avoiding talking about the issues that affect their own political environment."
In this line, Pastor has urged the PSPV to provide explanations regarding the information related to the investigation by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office "to the number two of Pilar Bernabé," Government delegate and head of the list for Valencia on November 29. Anti-Corruption has reported to the court the Government subdelegate in Valencia, José Rodríguez Jurado, for alleged irregularities in his internal promotion as an administrative officer in the City Council of Canet de Berenguer, a case that the PP considers the socialists are trying to minimize.
The popular spokesperson has also mentioned the controversies affecting former president José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, former socialist member Leire Díez, former minister José Luis Ábalos, and former Secretary of Organization Santos Cerdán, as well as the "attacks" against the judge who investigated Pedro Sánchez's brother. For Pastor, these episodes demonstrate that the PSOE "avoids facing" the issues that tarnish their own party.
"They should stop pointing fingers at others to try to hide their own scandals. The Valencians deserve explanations, not defamation campaigns or anonymous dossiers used as political ammunition. Against their strategy of muddying everything, the Popular Party will continue to defend the truth, transparency, and management against socialist manipulation," emphasized the PP spokesperson in Les Corts, claiming the actions of his party in response to the socialist accusations.
