Alantra has closed the purchase from Shell Ventures of a portfolio of stakes linked to the energy transition through the launch of its new secondary vehicle, Horizon Secondaries. With this operation, the firm launches a renewed strategy with a specific focus on the secondary market, according to the international law firm Addleshaw Goddard, which has acted as an advisor in the transaction.

The operation, valued at 120 million euros, allows Alantra to enter the capital of innovative companies in the expansion phase with a presence in North America, Europe, and Asia.

These companies develop their business in areas such as sustainable mobility, low-carbon technologies, electrification, digitalization, and emissions management.

The new secondary vehicle has CommonWealth Investments as an anchor investor, as well as other international investors including Blue Earth Capital.

The advisory from Addleshaw Goddard in this transaction has been carried out by a team made up of Roberto Pomares, Victoria Ruenes, Lucas Sánchez, and Jaime Enguita from the corporate area, and by Isabel Rodríguez, Enrique Torné, and Irene Díaz from the funds area.
