The British subsidiary of the Damm brewing group, Damm UK, has taken a stake in the London-based natural soft drink company Dalston's Soda Co, which becomes the first partner in the non-alcoholic beverage area to join the "Accelerator Program" of the Damm Eagle Brewery, located in Bedford.
This operation represents another step in the roadmap of the company chaired by Demetrio Carceller Arce to establish itself as a global beverage group ("total beverage company"). The entry into Dalston's comes just a few weeks after the company announced the purchase of the British beer brands Old Speckled Hen at the beginning of July.
Under this alliance, Damm will provide support to Dalston's Soda Co in production, distribution, and commercial structure, with the aim of accelerating its development and presence in both the on-trade and off-trade channels, as reported by the brewery.
Damm's incorporation into Dalston's shareholding is also framed within the growing trend towards the "premiumization" of the beverage market in the United Kingdom. Likewise, the two companies aim to leverage the synergies derived from their collaborations with gastronomy, hospitality, culture, sports, and music, with the purpose of strengthening the brand's positioning.
The general director of Damm UK, Luke White, has emphasized that the arrival of Dalston's fits with the group's "premium offering" and has expressed confidence that this alliance will drive "its growth both in the United Kingdom and in other markets."
For his part, the founder of Dalston's Soda Co, Duncan O'Brien, has defined the agreement as "a huge vote of confidence" in the evolution of the company. "It is a huge vote of confidence in what we have built and we are excited about the growth potential that working with the Damm team brings us," he emphasized.
With this move, Damm intensifies its presence in the British market, after renaming the Bedford plant as Damm Eagle Brewery in October 2025, following an investment of £70 million (about €83 million) for its upgrade.
The factory, conceived as an innovation center for beverage categories other than beer, has a state-of-the-art canning line and specific technology for handling syrups, with a projected capacity of up to two million hectoliters.
As a result of this agreement, the company chaired by Demetrio Carceller Arce plans to launch a new stage of reforms in order to adapt the facilities to the requirements of the new portfolio.
