Delta Air Lines plans to resume daily nonstop flights between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport, with a first departure set for September 6 that will arrive in Israel the next day.
The return trip will be activated from September 7, with departures from Tel Aviv heading to New York.
The connection will be covered with Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, equipped with the airline's four usual cabins: "Delta One," "Delta Premium Select," "Delta Comfort," and "Delta Main Cabin."
The company has explained that the resumption of the route has been decided after completing a detailed analysis of the security conditions in the area.
The airline has stated that it will continue to monitor operational developments in permanent coordination with government agencies and the competent civil aviation authorities.
